Havilands.com - Sirmons Family - Tombstones - Royal Palm Cemetery
The Royal Palm is a massive rural cemetery in St. Petersburg. Many of my nearer family on my mother's side are buried here. The cemetery can be easily found on 1st Ave. South between 58th St. and 55th St.

Eula Hammond Pauline E. _____ Note: This grave is a puzzlement. The lot is owned by Carl Sirmons, son of John Manice Sirmans (son of Benjamin Hill Sirmans & Mary Elizabeth Taylor) and Eula Hammond. Nobody knows who Carl's wife is, or if he had one, but he was alive and living in Palmetto, FL as of Jan. 1999. The cemetery records show, however, that the two people occupying this lot are "Eula Sirmons" (who is undoubtedly Eula Hammond, wife of John Manice Sirmans, who may have spelled his name Sirmons) and "Pauline E. Sirmons." Nobody knows who Pauline is.Could she be a wife of Carl? It has been guessed that maybe she is a sister of Eula, but if so, she wouldn't be buried under the name of Pauline E. Sirmons. |
