The Haviland Lot at the Greenwood Cemetery in Waterford, Ontario, Canada contains a group of Canadian Havilands who were once buried at the "Haviland Cemetery" located on the North half of lot 12, Concession 2, in Townsend. According to Canadian Haviland Family Genealogy by F. Eleanor Chapin (1991) the original cemetery was unkempt and funeral processions and visitors to it became annoying for the land owners. A committee of relatives formed to have the graves relocated. (Wally Haviland, Roy Haviland, Omar Haviland, Charles Haviland, and John Ross.) After financial contributions from Haviland cousins and several years of red tape, the graves were disinterred to the Greenwood Cemetery in Waterford, complete with a beautiful lot stone and plaque, pictured below.
